Cllr Munsif Dad BEM, Chair of Hyndburn’s Community Action Network (CAN), visited Acorn Primary Health Care Centre to see for himself the fantastic work the staff where doing and the vaccination process.

Working to defeat ‘anti-vax’ conspiracy theories and scepticism he is heartened by the high levels of take-up of the jab.

Cllr Munsif Dad BEM said that while there was great faith in the work being done by health professionals and the NHS, the community’s trust had not been helped by a lack of clarity, “mixed messages” and prompt actions from government.

“I will personally be taking up the vaccine when my turn comes and will be encouraging others to do the same. That will protect them, their families and the communities they represent.

“We are optimistic that we are heading in the right direction.”
